Piano is often the first instrument our students learn to play.
Beginning pianists have fun playing simple songs as they learn correct positioning of the hands and become familiar with the keyboard. As our piano students progress, they master more interesting pieces of music, while they learn basic music theory and study the various scales and chords.
Our piano instructors are not only virtuosi pianists in their own right, they are highly trained professional teachers dedicated to offering caring, one-on-one instruction tailored to help each student achieve success!

In addition to the enormous sense of accomplishment our younger students realize from taking piano lessons, learning to play piano often helps with their performance at school. Numerous studies have shown that children who play an instrument score higher on both standard and spatial cognitive development tests. Findings also show that students who play piano, in particular, scored higher in math, especially on problems dealing with ratios and fractions.
Studying piano provides a strong foundation for understanding and appreciating all western music for students of any age. Piano students learn the basic fundamentals: reading music in both clefs, rhythm and dynamics, and basic scales, chords and counting … important skills that can be applied to learning other instruments and singing.
Advanced piano lessons for students of all ages!
Our more advanced pianists study one-on-one with their instructor to play more complicated pieces, improve technique, explore various musical styles and interpretations, and to further their understanding of scales, theory, performance, improvisation, and/or composition.
PIANO, SOLFEGE AND THEORY WITH MAESTRA VERA
Students studying piano with Maestra Pamela Vera can now enroll in a new program which integrates Piano, Solfege and Theory into twice-weekly private lessons. This intensive is designed to augment and enhance a young pianist’s progress and to accelerate overall musicianship and prowess. Available as two 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons per week. (Lessons may be scheduled back-to-back.)
Piano lessons are available in all genres, including classical, pop, jazz, and rock.
