Pianist Ginny Stephens joins our Piano and Voice faculties!

Pianist Ginny Stephens is a piano teacher, collaborative artist / vocal coach and choral accompanist.

Most recently, Ginny toured the United Kingdom with an award-winning choir and performed in cathedrals in Scotland and England. Some of her other favorite musical experiences include working for the Virginia Opera as the opera chorus accompanist and performing art songs in concert with Baritone, John Lueck. She performed The Beautiful Bridegroom by Dan Shore with the Montclair State University opera last fall.

Ginny is currently an adjunct professor at Montclair State University’s Cali School of Music, where she accompanies and coaches musical theater and classical voice students. Previously, she was the chorus accompanist at the Virginia Opera and the accompanist for two choirs, opera workshop and faculty voice recitals at Colorado State University. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Bob Jones University and a Master of Music Degree in piano performance from Colorado State University.

As an educator, Ginny has been teaching piano and coaching vocal students for over 25 years. She enjoys helping students of all levels find their strengths musically and develop confidence as they pursue the art of music.

We are thrilled to announce that Ginny Stephens is playing a dual role here at The Ridgewood Conservatory – sharing her love of music with our piano students and coaching our many aspiring vocalists through private study.
